I’m a pretty experienced traveler and am so grateful to my parents for teaching me the importance of seeing the world. I fly a lot so I’m used to gearing up for a trip with the perfect outfit. Side note: It really makes me angry when people look completely sloppy at the airport. What happened to the days of dressing up to travel? A sweatsuit is not appropriate! On the other hand, I get annoyed when women strut around in skintight outfits and high heels. Or maybe I just hate airports, who knows.
My ideal travel outfit is in between those two extremes. Super comfortable (seriously these pants are like PJs) but looks put together and simple. I always wear flats and lots and lots of layers. Airplanes change temperature like crazy and I find myself either freezing cold or aggressively sweating throughout the trip. A pair of socks and a travel blanket in my carry on plus a colorful scarf and extra layer usually solve this problem.
I always end up packing two carry ons because I’m super specific about the food I bring, the hand lotion I use, my eye mask, and so much more. Take a peek inside my carry on here.
