Levis 711

c/o Levi’s 711 jeans via Zappos, similar striped shirt, Topshop plaid shirt, c/o Mark & Graham clutch, Sam Edelman pumps

A good pair of jeans is something you can always count on, but can be a challenge to find, especially for me. I have short legs and an uber long torso so I’m always on the hunt for jeans that are slimming and make my legs look longer.

Luckily for me (and all of us!) Levi’s has re-launched their women’s denim as the “700 line”, designed by women, for women. They have styles for every shape, taste and size, all available on Zappos. And it doesn’t hurt that they’re all under $50!

I ordered this pair (the Womens711 Skinny in Mountain Sound) from Zappos on a Monday and they showed up in just four days. I pulled them on and they immediately sucked me in and felt equal parts sturdy and stretchy. They were also the perfect length, making them the first pair of non-ankle jeans that I haven’t had to hem… ever! I ended up buying a similar pair in black (Womens721 High Rise Skinny) which fit just as well if not better.

I wore them to a friend’s baby’s first birthday party over the weekend paired with not two, not three, but four different patterns: The classic plaid on this oversized boyfriend shirt, stripes (naturally), a monogrammed buffalo check clutch, and leopard pumps. It seems unlikely that this combo would work but it did, and I know this is a look I’ll repeating over and over this fall.

After a full week of my short hair, I’ve finally figured out how to style it, which is to pull back the front pieces for a chic and fresh look.

Side note: If you love my clutch, I’m giving one away over on Instagram later this week!
