Our Patio Plan

Our big exterior project is days away from being complete (yay!) and now we get to focus on the extra fun stuff like decorating the patio and finally being able to host friends and family outside. Our old raised deck was too small to fit more than a couple of human bodies and I love summer parties so the new, much bigger, stone patio is my dream come true.

Already without even having dining chairs, we’ve gotten so much use out of it. Luca took his first steps on it and Boots loves to lay on the warm stone on sunny days.

You guys… I have spent so much time going back and forth on how to design this space because I want this setup to last for years to come. But finally, we made some decisions and ordered some furniture.

Most of it is from Serena & Lily which happens to be having a giant sale right now! Use code SPLASH for 20% off sitewide.

I knew that I wanted a classic, beautiful teak table and light blue Riviera chairs so that part was a no-brainer, but the setup of the lounge section was a different story.

We went back and forth between a sectional vs a smaller sofa and lounge chairs and ultimately decided on the latter for easier conversation and to be able to incorporate different patterns and colors. We landed on a wicker sofa with off-white weather-proof cushions and two matching lounge chairs but with French-blue striped cushions that are just so beautiful.

There is obviously a lot of blue, white, and natural going on so I got a striped chartreuse tablecloth to bring in one more color.

I can’t wait to show you (and see for myself!) the finished product in a few weeks.
