February Wish List

The same feeling always hits me in February and this year it’s no different. I’m so over winter. Normally, Anel and I would pack up and fly to a warm beach somewhere which fixes all of our problems. But we haven’t left the baby together yet so this February, that just feels out of the question (Am I insane?).

So for now I’m focusing on the fact that spring is around the corner and everything on my wish list this month can be worn now through July or August.

Transition pieces like this scalloped cami (50% off and comes in six colors) make for great layering pieces now and stand-alone looks come summer. My sister and I both have this drapey silk shirt in multiple colors and it’s less than $40 which makes it a crazy steal. I also just picked up a striped sweater that has the perfect v neck and fit. I’ll be sharing it in an outfit post soon.

But the real gems on this list, if we’re being real, are two things: 1. These hot pink silk mules that are to die for. They look so comfy and are so chic. And 2. The rose quartz water bottle that I recently shared on my Instagram stories. It’s $80 which is absolutely bonkers, but the crystal is supposed to infuse your water with positive energy. And while it may or may not be a placebo effect, it’s worked well for me so far this week. Speaking of wellness products, I bought the goop bath salts (don’t judge me!) and loved them. The martini emotional detox is so good. I was almost too relaxed after it.

Also, I saw this after I created my list but Lilly Pulitzer just launched their swim line and it’s so so so cute! I love the color, pattern and cut of this one the most.

I also have to mention that there are a ton of great sales this weekend for some reason:
J.Crew Factory: 50% off everything
J.Crew: 30 % off and free shipping with code SOGOOD.
Ann Taylor: 40% off everything with code GETMORE.
LOFT: 40 % off everything with code HAPPY
West Elm: 20% off everything with code HAPPYCART.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

I’m not a mother so I haven’t been in this situation, but I don’t think you’re insane! I think it’s totally fine to not want to leave the baby together, and also okay if you want to leave the baby together! It’s all your choice and it’s all okay. 🙂

On another note, thank you so much for all of these light and bright pieces. I live in Michigan and am so with you. We were lucky to have a couple of 40 degree days and a few days of sunshine this week, but it’s been so gloomy and cold otherwise.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

      Thank you!! You’re totally right.

And aren’t those warm days such a tease? Back to gloom over here too, yuck!

Such a tease! Luckily it looks like we have some more days in the 40s in our future next week. I’m all for it!

I think whenever you feel comfortable leaving her is when you should 🙂 Except the first time is always hard, so don’t let that deter you as it is a bit like ripping off a band-aid.

It may also depend on who you’d leave her with- we’ve never left our kids with someone beyond grandparents for an overnight but I can see that being difficult for you guys to do.
