Dress / Candle / Shirt / Heels / Phone Case / Clutch / Romper / Monogram Bangle

It always sneaks up on me, the end of summer. One day it’s Memorial Day, the next I’m planning for Thanksgiving! Tonight we’re heading off to Newport for the night followed by a weekend in Martha’s Vineyard for one of our last trips of the season. Although it will still feel very summery and beachy, it still feels like the end of the season, with fall just around the corner.

I’m currently coveting pieces that can be easily transitioned like this adorable plaid romper that I can wear in the fall with these booties and for now with these fabulous lace up sandals (which I plan to wear with ripped ankle jeans come September). This long striped dress will look all kinds of chic with my pink pumps this weekend and paired with brown riding boots and a scarf in October.

Around this time I also start to change things up at home, starting with fragrance. I always have a Diptyque candle burning and this week I switched it up from my summer Baies (light and herbal) to fall Santal (Dry, subtle, woody). Come winter, I move on to Feu de Bois (Smokey…like a fireplace).
