Happy Monday, guys! We had a perfect quintessential summer weekend that included pizza on the beach at sunset, a BBQ, pool party, baby shower, and our last parenting class (now we’re serious swaddling pros). I had an insane surge of energy for the first time in months, and I took full advantage of it. I realized last night that 4th of July weekend is next weekend. My dad jokes every year that after the 4th of July, summer is basically over because you seemingly blink and it’s September… But pretty sure we have a lot in July to look forward to!

This year will be the first year that we aren’t heading to Rhode Island for my aunt’s annual lake party, one of the highlights of my entire year. It’s just too close to my due date and we don’t want to risk sitting in holiday traffic while in labor. Talk about a nightmare birth story! We plan to make the most of it and have fun with friends here in Connecticut though.

Today I thought I’d round up some of my favorite red, white, and blue looks for some patriotic outfit inspiration. I linked up all of the items that are still available this year. A lot of them are on sale too!

A few pieces I’m coveting for this years festivities include this gingham dress paired with my favorite red espadrilles (pictured below a few times) and this cute tee (in either blue stripe or red) with denim shorts  and a festive pair of fringe earrings.
