My life has been less than glamorous lately. I get up and go to work every morning, only to come home to a never ending to do list of unpacking and organizing our new home. Because we moved from a two-bedroom apartment to a four-bedroom house, there are multiple rooms that are literally empty so the whole thing still feels very strange. It’s actually been more disorienting than I thought it would be.
I’m so antsy to get it all decorated but I know that we need to move slowly, using a budget, and working on one room at a time. Unfortunately patience is not my forté… but I’m working on it!
While this weekend was just as busy, I made sure to take some time for our weekly date night to connect, because apparently there is more to talk about than window treatments and how to deal with the squirrel that was squatting in our attic (true story!). I can’t wait to show you guys the progress on the house very soon.
In the meantime, let’s talk about this look that I wore into town for a few last minute errands before our trip to California tomorrow. Normally, a plaid shirt (this one is my new favorite, the pattern is SO perfect and I know it will sell out quickly), jeans, and boots are my go-to but it’s incredibly easy to give that classic look a touch of glam by adding a statement necklace and fur or faux fur vest.
