Annndddd we’re back… Thanksgiving weekend came and went in a flash, making it now officially the holiday season. My weekend was so wonderful, a great time of unwinding, eating, and spending time with family. The highlights included a Thanksgiving dinner mannequin challenge (which included my 90 year old great aunt), and seeing my brother Jackson perform as Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol. He was so cute on stage, it made me cry everytime he was in a scene!

This week it’s back to business as usual, plus I’m planning to finish the last of my holiday gift shopping and address our holiday cards, although it’s always hard to get your head back in the game after an extra long weekend.

With all of the road trips we inevitably end up taking around this time of year, I’ve figured out my own secret sauce for dressing for the car. I always start off freezing, then get hot, then get cold again, so multiple layers are a must. I start wiht a long-sleeved tee like the red one I’m wearing here (under $20 with the sales this week). I add a cozy sweater for weight and warmth. I love this one because it’s sturdy yet super soft with a little bit of stretch. It’s also 20% off today with code GIVE20.

A scarf or poncho is always a must as a last step because I like to drape it over my legs in the car, and then throw it over my shoulders for gas and rest stops.
