Coming back from a long weekend is no joke. After 3 blissful days at home in New Hampshire (see photos on Instagram), it was tough getting up this morning to head back to work. Part of me loves being on a schedule and I crave it over the weekend (I know, dafuq?) but this time around I actually let go and enjoyed the time off, working for only an hour each day as a rule.

One thing I did do was shoot this casual summer look from Madewell in preparation for a little shindig that I’m hosting at their Greenwich Ave store next Sunday (details below). And if you like this look, you’ll LOVE the dress I’m wearing to the event.

I’ve had my eye on this striped shirt for a while (because I need more blue and white striped shirts like I need a hole in my head) and I’m sure it will be on repeat this summer as a beach cover up Note: It runs big, I’m wearing an XS. I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect pair of distressed white denim shorts and am so pleased with this pair.
