White After Labor Day

striped-express-shirt

Obviously white after Labor Day is a thing. We can all agree on that these days, right? Now that there is a real chill in the air, you might subconsciously stay away from it until “winter whites” become a thing, but I urge you not to. I used to put away my white jeans and blazers around this time, but it’s still sunny and warm enough that it works. Today I’m teaming up with Crocs to show you that you can do it, too!

When athleisure became a trend, I think people realized that comfortable is cool. Walking around in clothing or shoes that hurt or force you to constantly be fidgeting is never fun. And I hope we’ve all collectively agreed that confidence is the best accessory. Personally, when I’m comfortable, I’m way more confident; and if you’re looking for comfort, Crocs are simply the best.

True, they’re not the most stylish shoe on the block – but there is definitely a time and place for them. For example, they are perfect for gardening and boating because they can get wet and dirty, and you can quickly hose them off afterward. I also love them because they feel like you’re walking on clouds, and I don’t have to worry about constantly tripping (especially on a boat) like I do in flip flops… I’m pretty clumsy. Side note, they’d also be great for apple picking!

I paired them with this slim-fit striped button down shirt (under $60!), jeans, and a white blazer for an afternoon on the water.

I used to be very against wearing white after labor day! But lately I figure when it still feels like summer outside, you can definitely still wear white!

I think I got over my anxiety of crocs when Kate Middleton wore them while rowing… Totally a time and place. And I love white after Labor Day!! Bravo!

My boys wear Crocs all summer long! They look so cute with a tee and shorts and they’re perfect for beach and pool days. LOVE your striped blouse and your bamboo handle bag! Such a great look for early fall!

Love them for gardening. You know the “I’m knee deep in dirt and compost but soon I’ll have great roses” type of gardening. I used to were runners but they always end up ruined getting wet and dirty. Crocs just rinse clean! xx Rox-Anne, Celebratingthislife.ca

Those jeans look amazing on you! I remember you raving about AG and I finally ordered a pair the day before yesterday (I’ve always been a DL1961 gal) and you have on the EXACT pair I ordered in this post! I can’t wait to get them, I love the wash and again you wear them so well! So, thank you for the recommendation 🙂

Cute outfit. Maybe navy crocs. But no white below the waist after labor day. Can’t do it.

Hi Julia, I always love your looks but I am not too sure about this style of crocs. I think they have more femine models in their range. I leave the clogs for my kids though and they are so practical when we are at the seaside. Gorgeous shirt and necklace! xx Julie

I think you did an amazing job with this post. The pictures are dreamy! I’m not sure I can get on board (pun intended ;)) with Crocs myself but Christopher Kane sure did, and I do love him. Also, like you said, Crocs are great for gardening and boating—they are waterproof and basically indestructible! Loved the picture you painted. 🙂

Hey, Julie and everyone! I actually work at Crocs in Colorado and must disclose that I do NOT speak for the company in this comment.

I LOVE my Crocs, but have not yet embraced the Classic Clog. I own 13 pairs of Crocs that range from flats to wedge-heeled booties to sandals. My feet are FINALLY comfortable all day. It’s insane!

What I LOVE about my Crocs is the comfort. There are so many amazing styles from our design team, so the Classic is still a thing, but there are awesome stylish shoes for women, men, and kids 🙂

    FYI and tons of love!

I’ll admit I slip on my husbands crocs all the time. Perfect for taking the dog out or when I need to pick something out of the garden. I’m so tempted to get my own pair! You’re right too, they’re absolutely perfect for boating.
