Today it’s in the 50s and it feels pretty much like summer. You better bet that my ankles are going to be exposed and I’ll be wearing an open-front coat. Screw you zippers and scarves! See how I styled the same coat another way here.
I was shocked when I saw these striped smoking slippers out of the corner of my eye at Old Navy. They look quite high-end and they’re a classic pair of shoes that I know I’ll never get sick of.
Over the weekend, Anel and I spent some time exploring Westport which is one of our favorite Connecticut towns and one of the few where we’re considering buying a home. I love how much of the downtown area is on the water where we took these photos. I look forward to coming back in the summer and having a cocktail outside at The Whelk on this deck!
Now that it’s finally starting to warm up a bit, I’m feeling better and better about our move to the ‘burbs. More on that in tomorrow’s 6 month update. I’m also excited because on Thursday, we’re flying down to New Orleans for 5 days for my best friend’s wedding. I’ve been a handful of times to visit her but would love any recs that you have for food or things to see!

R’evolucion is by far my favorite NOLA restaurant- either on Bienville or Iberville (I can’t remember) in the French Quarter. For amazing service, food and ambiance, dine in the formal dining room. Expertly crafted cocktails and a partial menu are available in their slightly less formal bar. Either way, you do not want to miss it!
