Just looking at these photos is making me cold. I wore this cozy outfit last weekend to a double date lunch at Harlan Social with Lauren and her boyfriend Mike. It was a freezing cold day but getting out of the house was definitely good for us. Anel and I are slowly making friends in the ‘burbs. It’s a hard and slow process but we’re getting there!

I was shocked (shocked I tell you!) when I found this chic faux-fur black vest at Target last Saturday. It’s $34 but looks high-end and feels even better. I paired it with this buffalo check flannel shirt that I borrowed from my sister. She comes over on Sunday nights and we have a ritual where we swap clothes for the week. I’ll lend her a scarf and she’ll give me a shirt and it’s like we have double the wardrobe.

Her style is very different than mine. She is a true New Yorker in that she’s in to dark colors and edgier cuts. We tend to wear the same pieces very differently. She would probably wear this shirt to work under a sheath dress with heels. I tend to have a more casual vibe.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I could rattle off a million reasons why I’m thankful (and I will, that’s coming) but having a sister who is the same size as I am with impeccable taste is pretty great!

I just bought that exact vest a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been living in it!! It’s so versatile and I love the cozy factor! Loving how you styled yours with a classic buffalo check top and your plaid scarf! My daughter and I swap clothes now and you’re so right about the double wardrobe!!
