For the last 2 years, Anel and I have been using a duvet cover that I impulse-purchased at Ikea for $19.99. The pattern was cute, but the cut was so bad that the comforter always looked lumpy and oddly-shaped. There were no buttons, so you could always see the white duvet sticking out of the bottom. We used two Pottery Barn throw pillows to fancy it up a bit but it always felt so high maintenance!
When West Elm had a sale on bedding a few weeks ago, we decided it was time for an upgrade. We went for this preppy duvet cover with matching shams and these sheets with thinner stripes. I realize the “his” and “hers” shams are a little cheesy…but we’re getting married this year so cut us some slack! I also love the subtle “D” monogram (the first initial of my soon to be last name) on the pillowcases.
Hi There! I just stumbled upon your blog through IFB. Very cute! I too splurged at the West Elm bedding sale!! Yay for sales 🙂 I got the pintuck duvet and shams in natural. Haven’t done a post but will surely do so. Hope you’ll check my blog and find it an interesting read.
