Blue Brunch

The snow here has been out of control. Every single week we have another storm and it’s getting old real fast. In order to keep from going absolutely stir crazy, I’ve been trying to go out more, see more friends, and get creative around the house, especially on the weekends. I tend to spend my weekends working on the blog or my store, and a break from that, even if just for a bright blue brunch at home is often just what the doctor ordered.

When we registered for tabletop items like placemats and glasswear, I chose to take a very traditional route, picking pieces that I knew I would have forever, like my monogrammed mugs. Duh. But I’m young and love to change things up so finding great affordable items like these blue tumblers ($28 for 6!) and patterned napkins ($9 for 4. Am I dreaming?) makes me pretty effing ecstatic.

If you find the right affordable products and style them together cohesively, they can look and feel extremely high-end. I paired a few shades of blue with pink flowers and red raspberry tarts for a bright and sweet start to our morning.
