I can’t believe that I’m already thinking about holiday shopping, but I am. In the past, I’ve gotten really crazy and tried to buy all my gifts before December 1st, but this year I have a feeling that’s not in the cards.
I always start earlier than most people though, because I like buying at least one personalized gift for everyone on my list. My family members expect something monogrammed by now, ha! I just feel like it adds a level of thoughtfulness that you can’t get with a randomly bought or last minute off the shelf gift.
Now that we have Amalia, personalized gifts don’t just consist of monograms… Everyone wants something with her face on it. Whether that means a framed print or a mug, it makes my holiday shopping easier in a way. Frame a photo and call it a day! But I never know where to print photos, and then you have to send the prints to get them framed.
When I discovered that Shutterfly can both print your photos and frame them, I was sold. I got almost everyone in my family a framed print, some with her name written on them, and some just plain (you can see a few of them in the photos).
It was just so easy and the quality is great! I got one for each of her grandparents and a few for us to keep around the house too.
In addition to framed prints, they have a huge selection of personalized gifts. I picked up some monogrammed stemless wine glasses for Anel (slash me, ha!) because we needed everyday glasses that were a little sturdier. They’re perfect, so we got the champagne flutes to match! Guess who will be bringing those out for NYE? I loved them so much, I bought a set for my sister and her fiancé with her new initial on them. Great gift idea for newlyweds, btw!
I also just love this personalized plaid wine bag. That paired with a great bottle of wine makes a great hostess gift for holiday parties.
My brother Jackson loves drinking chamomile tea before bedtime (what 6 year old does this??) so I thought I’d get him a giant mug that says “best uncle ever” on it.
Of course I had to get something for Boots, and his treats are always a mess in different bags so I consolidated them and got him this cute pet treat jar with his name on it.
So as you can tell I’m feeling extra organized now that I have some holiday gifts checked off my list and it’s only the beginning of November! Plus I’m excited about how great these gifts are. They say it’s the thought that counts, and giving something personalized shows extra thoughtfulness.

I hope I’m getting something with Amalia’s face on it….
The only bummer I’ve found with Shutterfly’s personalization is that they don’t have good options for couples who don’t have the same last name. I really like Mark and Graham for that – they have some really nice looking dual-initial designs.
I just bought that treat jar for my pup so fast! Hahaha
Great list 🙂 looking forward to your other holiday guides!
Haha good choice! When I go near it, Boots gets so excited!!
I love Shutterfly! I think I’ll have to get my grandma that dog bone jar…thanks so much! She’s a tough one to shop for haha. xxAllie http://www.theallthatglittersblog.com
