Happy Monday and happy June! We had a fantastic but very packed weekend and I realized last night how quickly summer with a toddler is about to fly by. We hosted our first BBQ of the season, went to the zoo with friends, and played at our favorite playground. Last night the whole family crashed hard but with hearts full of love and excitement and bellies full of hot dogs and ice cream. Have I mentioned how much I love summer? I feel like I finally come alive from June-September.
Why I live in New England is a question that I ask myself constantly…
I wrote about this on Instagram over the weekend but it was so nice to host our friends for a BBQ on Saturday without the anxiety I used to get when I had more than 2 or 3 friends over. To look back at last summer and see how far I’ve come makes me feel so proud and excited for the future. It was also nice to have a ton of plans with lots of logistics and not have even one panic attack. This summer is a game changer, my friends.
Anyway, Anel and I have so many fun things that we want to do with Amalia this summer and I have so many things that I want to do without her, so I’m putting them all down in a list because when I do that, I’m more likely to actually check them off.
Here’s to achieving all of our summer goals!

I love your list! I am definitely taking some of your ideas! Something on my list is to go back home to Minnesota for a bit, and check, I am here! 🙂

Nice work!
I can help force those summer Fridays, if you need a push
Please do. Standing beach date?
I’m so excited to take my little guy (approaching 4 months old) to the beach (Cape Cod and MV) and Lake Winni for the first time!!!
So fun! 4 months is a great age for the beach because they don’t run around or eat sand yet lol
This is quite the list, I love it! I hope you get to do each and every thing on your list Summer is my favorite time! xxMelissa
I hope so too!!
Bookmarking this! I need to write it out too – I agree, if you write it – more likely to happen! So far on my bucket list is strawberry picking (done!) and then cherry and peach picking when they’re in season. Also hitting up the local markets and trying to switch to more local produce / meat purchases this summer.
Oooh good ones! I might add strawberry picking to mine too. Amalia’s favorite fruit.
I love your dress! I would also like to visit Nantucket.

I live in New Canaan and our town has great outdoor concerts every Wednesday at Waveny. Check out it, I think there may be one that are targeted towards children.
Also, we just got a new Lily Pulitzer store on Elm St.
Happy Summer!!
