My girl knows her style and owns it. Bright colors, lots of pink, patterns galore, and not an ounce of neutrals (I wonder where she gets that) grace her closet full of tiny gems. She put together this entire list of back-to-school clothes and shoes for 1st grade and it is what my 6-year-old dreams are made of.
One highlight is this short-sleeved swing dress that she has in two colors (hot pink and periwinkle). It gives the *best* twirl and the fabric is crazy soft. In the fall, we layer it with a cardigan or jean jacket. Another favorite is this striped hoodie that Luca actually picked out for Amalia at the mall one day. She loves it because of the kitty ears and the little ruffle at the bottom. We also love this long sleeved tee that comes in a bunch of bright colors.
Amalia’s Back-to-School Edit (left to right top to bottom):
Pink Tutu: Her first choice, obviously.
Pink Tee: A great staple that comes in 7 colors, on sale.
Pink Swing Dress: A favorite in our house. We have it in blue as well.
Striped Tee: Note the adorable heart pocket.
5-Pack of Leggings: Nothing beats the quality of Hanna Anderrson leggings, so we like to stock up.
Rainbow Heart Sweatshirt: Loving the 90’s vibe here.
Metallic Skirt: Ok obviously so cool!
Apple Cardigan: My personal favorite here.
Veja Sneakers: My only addition to her edit. I am a Veja stan and these are just so cute.
Black Boots: I’m shocked that something black is on her list but she said these are “very stylish” and I can’t argue with that.
Colorblock Sweatshirt: It comes in two other colorways. I might get the yellow one for Luca for a little brother sister matching moment.
Rainbow Tulle Dress: Amalia has picked some version of this dress every year since she could speak. I’ll be so sad for the day when she stops.
Kizik Sneakers: So easy to slip on! I got myself a pair too. Use code LEMON15 for 15% off.
Becco Bags Backpack: These are so fun because they’re made with the fabric side of velrco so they’re easy for kids to customize with lots of patches.
