It's been almost a full year since we moved into our house and the living room is finally finished! I'm so glad that we took our time with this space, adding to it slowly until it was just right.
Our goal for the room was elevated, colorful, and fun. But not fussy. A space that is both pretty to look at but easy to live in.
Not seeing my girlfriends in quarantine has felt like a big loss. They're my people, my sounding boards, they help me through bouts of anxiety, we lift each other up, we laugh, and we have fun together.
Since the weather warmed up, we've been doing socially distanced dinners in backyards and the beach which has been really nice.
Over the weekend I picked up a beautiful head of purple cauliflower at a local market. I bought it thinking that it might get Amalia to actually eat cauliflower (she hates cauliflower and broccoli) because it was so purple-y. I shared it on my IG stories and someone suggested making purple mac and cheese for her.
It's no secret that I suffer from anxiety. I've written about it at length and have had countless conversations with many of you who suffer as well. This community has become a beautiful place for healing and growth that I'm so grateful for.
