Moving to the Suburbs: 4 Years Later

When I first moved from Manhattan to Stamford, CT, I did a whole series about moving to the suburbs, but now that it's been almost four years (can you believe that?), I thought it was time for one more update. Amalia’s Nursery a Year Later

When I first shared Amalia's nursery last summer, I was pregnant and had no clue... about anything. I knew I needed a crib and I knew I liked pink and white but that was about it. I had hydrangeas in a glass vase on her shelves! LOL to that now. I thought it would be fun to share the small changes we've made now that we've had a baby living in the room for a year and know what's up.

How We Celebrated Amalia’s 1st Birthday

Amalia's 1st birthday has come and gone, but I still have all of the feels about it. I had no idea how emotional this milestone would make me, and I cried pretty much every day for a week leading up to the big day. It's tapering off now but woah, that was a rollercoaster! I'm not totally sure why, but I think it's a mix of the emotion of surviving the first year and overwhelming pride.

Summer Beach Reads

What makes a great summer beach read? In my opinion it has to draw you in so much that you don't want to put the book down. Something mindless helps too, but a more intelligent read works as long as the storyline is riveting and the characters are interesting.

Normally I like to toggle between lighter reads and smarter ones during the rest of the year, but all rules are off during beach season and I lean towards the page-turner, thriller types.
