Last week we finally had the nursery painted and wallpapered, and over the weekend we (ok, Anel) put together the crib which felt like a huge milestone! Things started to feel very real once there was a crib in the baby’s room, so I thought it was finally time for an update.
I don’t want to share every detail about the space because I want this room reveal to be epic, but I thought I’d give you a little sneak peek of the direction in which we’re heading.
As you can probably tell by now from my decor posts, I’m a huge fan of Serena & Lily. It’s probably my favorite home brand for bedding (my bed) and furniture (my kitchen chairs), so it was a natural fit to do the nursery with them. I’m beyond excited that they wanted to partner with me to make this space extra special for our baby girl.
A few weeks ago, I visited their Westport store (make a trip if you’re local, it’s worth it!) to meet with Allyson, the brand’s Head of Design Shop Visuals to start planning it all out. When I arrived, she had a bunch of fabric, wallpaper, and rug samples laid out to get our creative juices flowing.
I ended up picking only pieces that she pulled, so we were definitely on the same page! The woman has insanely good taste, which you would totally know if you’ve ever been into any of their stores.
The scheme is a range light pinks, neutrals, and white, but I love the pop of sage green in the accent wallpaper. It gives it a preppy feel without being over the top.
I also finally bought this chandelier which was on sale over the weekend. I think it’s so sweet, but not too baby-ish that we’ll have to change it out as she grows. I also got this leopard print inspired pink rug to layer over a beautiful natural jute that will cover most of the room.
There is so much more coming from the dresser (maybe my favorite piece in the room) to a light pink glider, and so much more. Stay tuned for the full reveal!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! We just painted our nursery and I plan on ordering the furniture and rugs within the next couple of weeks!

So fun! When are you due?
I’m due July 27th! Just turned 26 weeks today!
It looks so good already!! Can’t wait to see the finished product. Need to make it over to that location because every photo I see of it is so freaking perfect!
I love the pop of sage green and how it keeps things girly without being too frilly and pink. Very cute! Can’t wait to see the rest 🙂

Thanks Taylor!
Looks super cute! We have that same light fixture in our younger daughter’s room (which also has Serena and Lily bedding — it’s what I used in both my children’s nurseries and then toddler/little kid bedrooms.
Ahh so happy to hear that! I’m in love with it and can’t wait to hang it this weekend!
Looks so adorable, Julia! I love the minimal yet girly vibes!

Thanks Dana!
As much as I hated removing layers of wallpaper from our house, I sort of dig that it’s making a comeback in the way of accent walls. This is such a pretty color scheme!

hi! if you don’t mind me asking, who did you hire to install your wallpaper? I’m trying to find someone in the area to put up wallpaper in our nursery, too… thanks 🙂
Hi Christina! We used a guy named John and he’s great! He did our laundry room as well. This is his site if you want to contact him: http://www.cutabovepro.com/index.htm
Thank you, thank you – much appreciated!
Hi! I was just wondering if your wallpaper is still availalble online (http://www.serenaandlily.com/palmetto-wallpaper/m10377.html?color=Bone&utm_source=pj&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=pjgeneric#tab4). From what I see no pink colour is available? Am I missing something?
Sadly I think it’s discontinued. I’m so sorry!
