Amalia’s 3rd Grade Back to School Edit

It’s hard to believe that Amalia is already halfway through elementary school. Everyone told me these years would fly by, but I couldn’t have imagined just how fast it would all go.

One of my favorite things to look back on is how much her style has evolved since Kindergarten. She went from frilly dresses and patterned leggings to cropped sweaters, flare pants, and ripped jeans. It’s wild, but also so fun to watch her experiment with fashion and express herself. My favorite lewk lately is a denim vest over a tank top with denim shorts lol.

I love that she still holds on to a bit of that little kid flair while starting to dip her toes into tweendom. She and I had the best time putting this list together, and it shows. Every pick on this list was thoughtfully chosen (and debated lol I had to veto a few tops that were too cropped!).

My personal favorite is this jean jacket than I really wish they had in my size. Check out her top choices below and find her full list of picks here.

Shoes:

Nike sneakers: We had this same pair last year but with ties and although she knows how to tie her shoes it takes forever and is beyond annoying when we’re in a hurry. Plus they come untied and get dirty so lesson learned. Back to velcro for us!

Hot pink crocs: This girl seems to grow out of Crocs every five minutes but she wears them (or Kanes) most warm days so it’s worth it.

Crocs Jibbitz: I love the flowers she chose!

Sweaters:

Flower Cardigan

Crochet Cardigan

Kindness Sweatshirt

Striped Cardigan: I want this for me too!

Pants:

High Rise Flare Jeans: She is officially cooler than I am with this choice.

Green Flared Leggings: I was shocked by this color pick but I love it.

Black Flared Leggings: Our go-to last year too.

Accessories:

Backpack: When this arrived you would have thought it was Christmas morning. She cannot wait to rock it on the first day of school.

Pencil Case: To match the backpack in a coordinating color.

Socks: These Nike socks are our go-to socks for both kids now. And they are always on sale at Nordstrom Rack. Hot tip!

Hand Sanitizer

Water Bottle

Hair Brush: Her hair is constantly tangled so I have her leave a brush in her locker at school.
