Park Picnic

A big part of the reason that I live on the Upper East Side is Central Park. I can’t imagine surviving New York City without this oasis. In the spring and summer, my friends and I often picnic on blankets under the sun. Last weekend, we kicked off the season with green juices, sandwiches, and salads. It wasn’t quite bikini weather so I wore this comfortable and casual outfit for the day.

If you remember correctly, I wore the same hat last week in navy. Yes, I own two monogrammed baseball hats . . . Thank you Marley Lilly for that!

My Park Picnic Must-Haves:
1. A Baggu bag for carrying all of your treats (I’ll be selling them in the Lemon Stripes store in less than 3 weeks!)
2. A blanket or towel for laying on
3. A big bottle of water
4. Sunscreen . . . always
5. Healthy snacks. I like to bring green juice, apples, kale chips, and something hearty like a sandwich or just bread with hummus.
6. A book/Kindle (I’m currently reading The Book Thief. Do you have any recommendations for summer?)
