It’s crazy to me how sometimes you can be feeling high on life and pretty darn good about yourself when it all comes crashing down, humbling you in a brand new way. On the other hand, it can go the opposite way as well. Just when you think thing can’t possibly get better, everything turns back up and life gets back on track.
That is how the last few weeks have felt for me, some high highs and some low lows, but I have high hopes for this week after quite the roller coaster.
One of the best parts of my weekend was spending some time in nature near my mom’s home in New Hampshire. She’s selling her house soon and moving to California which is sad and the end of an era of sorts but the best decision for her in the long run. When you’re about to lose something you always appreciate it so much more. Apparently Joni Mitchell knew a thing or two!
I love this spot on the river behind her house and will miss my runs and our family after-dinner walks here so much! On Saturday morning I spent some time alone running around this area which always clears my mind. Anel and I came back in the afternoon to chat and take these photos. I first wore this trench from Club Monaco here and am excited for some not-too-hot, not-too-cold spring days ahead to wear it more often. They have a ton of great spring trenches which are a great investment for transition months.
