Yes I’m drinking coffee again. I’ve been such a flip-flopper lately with quitting “for good” and then getting hooked again. I’ve been feeling more anxiety than usual lately which means that I lay awake at night with my mind racing which means that I wake up exhausted and not even mildly ok to go to work without a kick of caffeine.

I’m taking the steps to get my anxiety under control (has anyone else tried the Headspace meditation app? I’m on day 4!) and as soon as I’m sleeping more than a few hours each night, I am going to focus on quitting coffee yet again.

I had a fun whirlwind of a weekend in the city, having lunch with a girlfriend, taking Hallie’s Soul Cycle class (if you haven’t already, take one of her classes immediately. She’s amazing!), eating dinner at The Polo Bar with my husband and spending the night at The Ludlow Hotel so I could wake up early for a video shoot for Guest of a Guest on Sunday morning.

I somehow managed to meet up with Bekka to snap a few shots of my weekend looks in between all of that. Given the hectic schedule, I grabbed a second does of caffeination in this striped dress with leather pockets on Saturday for our shoot before heading to lunch at Almond with a college gal pal.

It was a gorgeous day in the city and although the beautiful weather and all of the buzzing around made me nostalgic for my old home, I was so happy to hop on the train back to Connecticut yesterday.
