It’s officially the last week of summer (started every blog post ever today). How insane is that? Usually by this time I’m ready for cashmere and riding boots but because the last few months have been so mild, I’m crossing my fingers for an extra hot September. Not to mention we have a pool at our new building in Stamford and I’m dying to spend a day (slash every day) lounging by it once we move!
I spent another weekend in Martha’s Vineyard with my family (as documented aggressively on my Instagram) but with zero beach time. It was sunny and beautiful but about 10 degrees too cold to be in a bathing suit.
Don’t get me wrong, we had an amazing few days going to the fair, shopping for hours at the new Vineyard Vines store in Edgartown, watching fireworks on the water, and reading books on the hammock. It was my last true summer weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
I wore this outfit to the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Fair, a yearly carnival full of rides, fried food (and lobster rolls!), pig races, and henna tattoos. I’ve gone almost every summer for as long as I can remember and it never gets old. I want to give a shout out to Caitlin and Gareth, founders of Rooey Knots and the sweetest Lemon Stripes fans that I met there. They make headbands out of neckties— Cutest idea!
After arriving back in the city last night, I started to get seriously anxious about the coming fall. There’s always so much to do before the puffy coats come out to play. How will you be enjoying your last week of summer?
Pssh, fall doesn’t start until mid-September. We have plenty of summer left! 😉

Loving the tunic on you!
It was 100 here this weekend – so I’m secretly hoping that fall shows up soon. But I’m heading to the Lake of the Ozarks for one last weekend on the water! Can’t wait to soak up the last of summer 🙂
