Golden Globes Red Carpet Style

OMG I wish I could put into words how much I love awards season. Watching celebs come down the red carpet in the most beautiful dresses ever made makes me feel proud to be a part of the fashion world.

Last night’s Golden Globe awards kicked off the season and the there were quite a few looks that were out of this world (and quite a few that weren’t, frankly. Lena, what were you thinking??). I had so much fun watching the pre-show with Glam.com and my blogger buds and then the full show with family, friends, and take out at my apartment.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were hilarious but the real star of the show was the One of a Kind Red Carpet Style. My absolute favorite look of the night was Margot Robbie’s stark white and sparkling Gucci gown with simple jewelry and side-swept hair. Swoon! Plus who knew she had a British accent? It was such a different look but chic perfection from head to toe. Winter white is getting so much traction this season (see how I rocked it here).

My second favorite look of the evening was Amy Adams’ deep plunging color-block dress. She took a cue from her American Hustle character and it paid off.

Cat Blanchett’s black lace dress and diamond wreath earrings were so classically beautiful. . . And then I saw the back when she walked up to accept her award. The dress was completely backless which made the conservative silhouette super sexy.

Olivia Wilde might be the hottest pregnant woman ever! It takes serious guts to wear body-hugging sequins, but she pulled it off perfectly.

People hated on this look but I thought that Julie Bowen looked beautiful. Her Carolina Herrera was definitely one of a kind! I wish she had worn a more modern updo because her hair looked too Little House on the Prairie for my taste.

Naomi Watts shined in her gold sheath dress. Her look was so simple but she truly glowed from the inside out.

Emma Watson obvi looked adorable like she always does. You can’t tell from this photo but it was open-backed and she rocked leggings underneath. My husband thought it was a romper but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t actually know what a romper is . . .(See my little red dress here)

Ok this dress kind of looks like a caterpillar but for some reason I love it. Maybe because Paula Patton is just so gorge.

Lastly, I loved the Oxblood and sparkly Carolina Herrera that Tina Fey wore as her first onstage outfit. I haven’t been able to find a good photo yet but she looked better than I’ve ever seen her look!
