My Postpartum Summer Style

I was chatting with a friend of mine who recently had a baby about how sick I am of leggings and sweatshirts (pretty much all I can fit into right now!) and she suggested treating myself to a dress I’m excited to wear postpartum so that I have something to look forward to. That day I ordered a beautiful navy and white Indian block-print caftan from Emerson Fry after she told me she lived in hers with her newborn.

I then dropped into a deep rabbit hole of their entire India Collection and could have purchased every single item, no joke. This blue shirt dress is at the top of my list now! I was also excited to see that they brought back my absolute favorite purple flowy maxi dress from last summer over on Tuckernuck. The same fabric also comes in a gorgeous blouse, btw.

Another brand that I had been loving but hadn’t tried myself is SZ Blockprints. I ordered this dress from them for our newborn photos and it’s even more beautiful in person. I also love the maxi version.

And of course, you can’t forget the one-and-only Amazon nightgown which I have in two colors from last year. They also make a pretty short-sleeved wrap dress maxi that, for under $30, is a great deal.

As you can see from all of my picks, my postpartum summer wardrobe is basically going to consist of everything long, flowy, block-printed, and comfy. I’m very happy to see this look is in-style for my fellow Gen-Z’ers!

Here is my current summer dress wishlist. All of them would be great for anyone postpartum or not.
