Wayf top, Ace Delivery skirt, c/o BaubleBar monogram necklace, Jack Rogers sandals, c/o Brandy Pham bracelet
This summer we’ve travelled everywhere from Sicily to Montauk to Bermuda. Last week we hit one more destination with a trip to Los Angeles for a family reunion and one of my college friend’s weddings.
A fun fact about me is that I went to college in LA and lived in Santa Monica for 6 months after graduation. When we got there, my husband’s first time in the city, he put it perfectly: “How did you ever live here? It’s so not you!” I have serious love for the city of angels and my coming-of-age memories there, but he’s right, it’s so not me.
For one, the laid back vibe is something that I strive to appreciate but I tend to find myself annoyed at people moving so slowly with no sense of urgency. Secondly, West Coast style is super cute, bohemian, and again, laid back, but I prefer a little more structure and a little more prep. Los Angeles is the perfect city for me to visit so I can enjoy the always-perfect weather, plethora of organic food, and sun-kissed skin.
I rocked this monogram necklace every day of the trip because it was the perfect mix of my East Coast prep with my West Coast past: A monogram in bright turquoise acrylic! I also made a quick stop into Nordstrom while we were there and picked up this adorable striped skirt and my new favorite white blouse (under $50!) that I plan to rock under blazers this fall.
We took these photos on a coffee break after exploring the Santa Monica pier where my husband took some beautiful photos. Scroll down to see one of them.
