Denim Dress / Striped Sweater (similar) / Chanel Bag / Necklace / Shoes
I kind of hate dressing up. For fancy dinners and events I have like three go-to outfits and tend to not stray from those. Whenever possible, I keep it casual with my clothing and throw on my trusty Chanel bag (aka my baby) and some jewelry for date night. Last week was no different when Anel and I had one of the best Japanese meals I’ve ever had outside of Japan at Norimaki (worth the drive).
I bought this chambray dress at Splendid a few months ago when they were having a sale and was so excited that it was finally warm enough to wear it. It’s such a great piece for transitioning weather and I can imagine I’ll live in it over the summer with flip flops! It cooled down that night so I brought a striped sweater to wear over the dress but ended up looking even cuter tied around my waist.
Let’s have a great week, you guys!

So cute, love the idea of the tied sweater over a dress!
Pink Champagne Problems
That’s such a cute dress! And I love how you styled it with that striped sweater!
Taffeta & Tulips
I’ve had one of these in my closet for ages and never actually worn it because I just couldn’t get inspired for how I wanted to wear it! Love the way you styled it – I’ll have to finally give it a try!
That is such a cute dress! It looks so soft! Splendid has such cute things, I only just got turned on to the brand a few months ago. So jealous you got to wear it sans tights!
Love this dress! The sweater over it really makes the blue of it POP! I have a similar one from Loft, but I need to pull it out and style it differently!
love the blue on blue tones here…so pretty for breaking warmer-ish weather!
very pretty. i love your look.
This outfit is so cute, Julia!
Hi Julia! I am so in love with your blog! I’m new to fashion blogging and you are such an inspiration. I also live in CT, so I always look forward to seeing your photos.
Quick question – what size did you get in this dress?
I love how the the striped shirt brought this outfit together 🙂
