Drapey Sweater

Date Night Full

Sweater / Jeans (under $40!) / Bag / Pumps

Lately my uniform (on both work days and weekends) has consisted of either leggings or jeans and a drapey sweater. No, but actually every day. I’m always on the hunt for new versions of this look so my coworkers and friends can be fooled into thinking I change up my look. I found this sweater last week and continued to buy it in three colors (oops). It’s the best top ever because the back of it covers your butt (great for leggings), and the turtleneck is clutch for the icy temps in New England this week. I love this blush color but also dig the black and blue versions.

Before I even talk about these jeans that are less than $40, I know that half of you LOVE the distressed look and half of you think I’m insane for wearing it. Fair enough. I’m mixed on the whole trend but despite my tendencies toward a preppier look, am always drawn to them! Although I still haven’t mastered putting them on without my foot going through one of the holes. #awk.

Looks like I need to make my way back to Charlotte Russe! I used to shop there all the time back in college (I would go there every Friday afternoon to pick out a “going out” top for the weekend…oops). Those jeans are a steal and I love the color 🙂

I love this look! Even though you’re wearing distressed denim, this look still is put together! That sweater looks amazing too!

Love the look! The blush top pairs perfectly with the distressed jeans, and the heels pull it all together!

I, for one, love the distressed jeans look (excuse me while I go buy these!), but I always put my feet through the holes, too! I’ve definitely woken up my boyfriend after falling with my legs all tangled in jeans while hurriedly getting dressed for work in the morning. Beauty is pain, right? 😉

Couldn’t agree more about the drapey sweater/jeans trend! It’s all I wear as well but what else are supposed to do in New England!

This is my uniform lately too, except with Uggs since it’s about 2 degrees in Chicago!

I do the same thing with my ripped jeans! And sometimes it makes the hole bigger 🙁 I love this outfit. I wish I could wear it to work!

You’ve done it again! This outfit is probably my all time favorite you’ve ever posted about. Weird, I know, because you’ve nailed some pretty awesome ones. But this one is so approachable and so good for every day. It’s achievable and comfortable and chic and I love it! Love this sweater. Three please.
