It’s jean season, y’all (and sweata weatha, of course). Last year I finally embraced a straight-leg as opposed to skinny jeans and now boot-cut is back. I can’t keep up! But I do have some tried and true classic favorites and they’re all in this post.
Last winter I made a video comparing the first two pairs on my list. At the time, I picked the Nico as my favorite of the two but since then my body has changed as I get farther and farther from my pregnancy with Luca and now the Riley’s fit me better and are the pair I reach for the most.
1. AGolde Riley High-Rise Straight Crop Jeans, in Frequency, $188: Pictured above, these have been my number one everyday pair of jeans for the last year or two. The fit, wash, and length are just perfect in my opinion. Depending on what wash you get, there is a different amount of stretch but Frequency, my favorite wash, has almost none.

2. AGolde Nico High-Rise Jeans, in Rooted, $168: Although they’re not as popular as the Rileys, the Nicos are also a solid pair of denim. They have a lot more stretch to them which makes them by far the most comfortable on this list. The high waist hits a little higher than the rest too which makes them very flattering. They both lift up your butt and suck you in everywhere else. Anel says this is his favorite of the bunch!

4. J.Crew 9″ Mid-Rise Toothpick Jeans, in Birch, $128 $74: For my elder millennial out there who still appreciate a skinny jean now and then! These have been in my closet for years and I reach for them always. The 9″ waist isn’t a trendy high-waist but hits a tiny bit lower while still feeling high enough. They have a nice stretch and hold everythign in really well.

5. Everlane ’90s Cheeky Jean in Vintage Mid-Blue, $108: I love that you can choose the length of the inseam based on how tall you are or where you want them to hit at the ankles.

3. Levi’s 501 Skinny Jean in Tango Light, $108: The 501 is a classic pair of skinny jeans that look great on every body. You can’t go wrong with these.
