Gingham Shirt

Lately I’m seeing gingham everywhere I turn. Brands from Vineyard Vines (love this dress) to Talbots (I just got these cute flats!) to J.Crew (this shirt is so fun) have more than a few pieces in the classic preppy pattern.

I picked up the top in these photos from J.Crew Factory on sale for only $24! I love the bow details on the wrists and the shoulder slits that give it a little bit of edge… And when I say edge I mean in a Connecticut kind of way. In the summer, I can already see myself wearing it with a pair of denim shorts and flip flops.

Is it me or is J.Crew Factory kind of killing it right now? Seemingly even more than regular J.Crew and also the prices are insane. I also found a cute striped blouse with fun sleeves for $35 from them that I wore here.

I teamed up with J.Crew Factory to give away a $200 gift card to spend on whatever you want (yay!) so be sure to check that out and enter to win on Instagram. Good luck!

I love all the gingham that’s out there right now! It screams preppy spring. And I agree, everything at J.Crew Factory (and J.Crew is great right now, I love the scallop stuff especially. xAllie

  3. I love your hair like this! Super flattering.

And the timing is SO weird:

I was shopping on J.Crew Factory last night (so many goodies right now and the prices are insane) and when I saw this top I totally thought of you. Ha! Looks great on you. 🙂

Last year I managed to snag a scarf for the blue and white gingham trend– and for less than the equivalent of $5 US (gotta love Monoprix and French seasonal sales!)

I like the print but am not crazy about some of the ‘trendy’ detailing (bows, sleeve cutouts, etc. as they date the garment.
