Blazer / Cami / Necklace c/o / Clutch / Watch / Jeans
A friend of mine emailed me last week saying that she was looking for a spring blazer that wasn’t too structured but still looked professional for work. Usually when people ask me things like this, I spend some time looking around for the perfect piece. In this case, I knew my answer right away. I got this white linen blazer last spring and over the last year has become one of the most worn items in my closet. This year’s version (in my links) is exactly the same as mine except with shorter sleeves which I actually prefer as I always roll up the sleeves in my older version.
I throw it on with this white lace cami most often but I also wear it over everything from a black tee to a striped oxford shirt and somehow it always looks good. It fits in all the right places and, because it’s made of less fabric than most blazers, has a slimming effect. The price tag isn’t cheap but for me it was worth it given the amount that I wear it. I’m thinking of snapping up the black version next. If only it came in navy!
Although I had been hoping to wear a new dress for Easter yesterday, I ended up in this look because it was pretty chilly in Andover, where my cousin hosted the holiday.
