Sorry for all the winter white jeans lately! TBH, I forgot another pair of pants during my last photo shoot so we’re gonna just go with it… Also I’ve been in a total creative rut lately. Maybe it’s the chilly temps, having a sick baby, or the fact that my insomnia is back with a vengeance but never in my history of blogging have I had trouble coming up with content like I have lately.
If there’s anything you guys want to see, let me know! Luckily this week I have Amalia’s six month update coming up tomorrow (my favorite post to write each month) and a Q&A with my acupuncturist since I get so many questions about it.
Then we’re off to LA so I’m hoping the sunshine gives me some inspiration!
In the meantime, I’ll be giving away a pair of M.Gemi shoes (you can pick whatever you want!) over on Instagram tonight so make sure to check in there. I’m wearing the Amico booties here but I also have three pairs of the Fortuna flats and they are, hands down, my favorite shoes. The quality is unbeatable for the price.
I also wanted to share this cute J.Crew ruffle sweater with you guys because I’m really feeling it right now. I’m loving the shorter cut that we’re seeing everywhere these days. I was afraid to wear that look but it’s more flattering than I would have guessed. And the ruffle detail gives it just the right amount of flair! It also comes in blush and white and will be great through spring and summer for chilly nights with a pair of shorts.

Love the winter whites, I think it brightens up a look!
Same!
How about a post on road tripping with an infant? My son is 2 months old and we are planning a long weekend (with a dog) soon. I would love some advice on what to pack and what you found to be helpful. (For example, what did your dad have at his house already that made life easier so you didn’t have to bring it? We are visiting grandparents.)
Ok great idea! We’ve done it about 5 times now and I finally feel like we’re kind of pros at it. Stay tuned for a post in the next two weeks 🙂
I’ll be heading to LA from snowy Ohio this weekend too – any ideas on what to pack??
It’s going to be super warm so a bathing suit and some dresses! Are you asking for you or a baby?
M. gemi shoes are high on my wish list! Hmm content did you mention somewhere you wanted to do a gift guide for new moms? I’d love to see your recommendations. How about a personal post on some values you wish to instill in your daughter? Post on what you didn’t use for her or yourself (baby items). Just ideas! I’m about to have my second and I know every baby is different so I’m curious to see what we do and don’t use this time. All time favorite books? Most used kitchen items?
I second a post on what items you didn’t use for Amalia or you and would add my interest in seeing a similar post about reflections on home ownership now that you’re a few years in. We purchased our first home last spring and we seem to always be tackling projects (updating lighting or other fixtures, painting, etc.) but I’m always curious to hear what projects others feel was really worth the investment and which things to skip or projects they wouldn’t do again.
I updated my baby registry post and noted the things we used and didnt so check that out here: https://lemonstripes.com/motherhood/build-the-perfect-baby-registry/
Will think about home project post ideas too!
Love the gift guide for new moms idea. I get asked about that a lot! Stay tuned for it in the next month. And the values post is perfect too. Will do both thank you so much!
Love the booties! How about some more recipe posts? I need some inspiration!
Yes I always say I’ll do more then I forget haha. Thank you for the reminder!
I think you mentioned your sister is engaged? I know that her wedding plans are her business, but if you are planning anything as the matron of honor? I’m currently pregnant so I love all your mom/baby posts, but that might appeal to your non-baby phase crowd. On your mom pages, I know you added some updates/commentary for what stuff that you bought has actually been helpful, but maybe you could also share which books you read have actually been helpful, etc. (i just finished bringing up bebe per your recommendation and absolutely loved it!). Another idea is a day in the life post. Would love to see what your day is like hour by hour.
I’m a huge fan of the white, especially considering I’ve been in such dark clothes lately! I quickly glanced through your Life & Wellness archives to see if you’ve done a post on essential oils before. If not, that’s a great topic it seems more women are discussing. I know you mentioned them just recently regarding staying healthy through the winter. Hope that helps! 🙂
Oh my gosh, you look so awesome! I love that J. Crew sweater so much! And your monogram necklace is my fave because it’s so big! love it!

I love it too! I wear it constantly, such a good buy!
Question on the Fortuna flats…I bought a pair and they felt uncomfortably stiff to me. Do they wear in well?
Oh no! Were they patent leather or regular leather? I’ve never had that experience with the regular leather but the patent took a few wears to break in!
Good point – patent leather. I’ll have to try the regular or suede!
Love that coat and those boots! The flats on ig are a must have!
Love the look. Classic pieces but always gorge.
