Rewear It: Striped Midi Skirt

Lemon Stripes Pearl Barrettes

For this month’s installment of “rewear it” I’m restyling the amazing striped midi skirt that I originally wore in my Dudley Stephens x Lemon Stripes launch photos. The stylist for the shoot picked it out, and I loved it so much that the Dudley girls bought it for me as a gift when we were done. It hasn’t been warm enough to wear it again since then, but now that it is, I’m all over it! Unfortunately, it’s not available anymore, but I found some great dupes that you could style similarly.

The first time around, we paired it with a cozy ice blue fleece and red flats, which I loved, but this look is easier to pull off and perfect for spring layering. I will be wearing it with one of my favorite white tees all summer but I added a classic denim jacket for spring and an oversized fleece scarf that is perfect for chilly mornings.

I also finally jumped on the pearl barrette trend and got a three pack on Amazon for $2.30. Literally. They did take over a week to arrive so if you’re buying them for an event, keep that in mind.

I love this series because it forces me to look through my closet for older pieces that I might not otherwise think to wear. This skirt could be worn a million different ways and I hope to do just that over the next few months. If you’re in the market for a new skirt this spring/summer, I encourage you to consider the midi length

Could you tell me what size you’re wearing in the denim jacket? I want to purchase but I want to make sure my sizing is correct.

The jacket is true to size. I’m wearing a small. It’s slightly oversized in a good way. Mine is the version from a few years ago but the new one looks very similar.
