Coming off the heels of a week-long vacation is never easy. The transition back to the real world can be jarring and downright depressing, but we’re traveling home from Martha’s Vineyard today so I’m just going to go ahead and put all that off until tomorrow, k?
For now, I’ll be reminiscing on the week I spent with Anel, Boots, and my family. I tried to be less obsessive on social media so you might not have seen how much fun we had on our long beach days, cooking dinner together with fresh island produce, or our morning hikes with the dogs. It was a true vacation, stress-free, and I’m coming home feeling a lot more relaxed than when I left.
On Saturday night, we met up with friends and went drinking and dancing until 1am, something that I haven’t done in God knows how long. It felt so good to let loose and not feel anxious about what work had to be done the next morning.
I took these photos last night in Edgartown where we enjoyed our last dinner of the trip at Atria, one of my family’s favorite restaurants. Usually it cools down at night so we all bring scarves and sweaters for the evenings but this summer has been insanely hot and that was true on the island as well.
I was pretty warm in this navy sleeveless sweater but I can’t wait to wear it more as the weather cools down. It’s 25% off today only here (use the code REFRESH at checkout). If you’re looking for transitional pieces for fall, this is a great one!
