Pink Tweed

IMG_6109

I’ve been back at work full time for 6 months but getting dressed at 7:30am every morning is still a daily struggle. I try to pick out my outfits the night before so that I don’t waste time when I’m groggy and rushing to get out the door. Throwing a colorful blazer over a t-shirt has been a life-saver for me. This pink tweed jacket is great paired with skinny jeans and flats or colorful patterned pants for a more whimsical look.

Because I work for a start up (our website finally launched last week!) our office is smack dab in the middle of a warehouse for the immediate future. The women who work in our warehouse have dubbed me “necklace lady” because every day I show up in another bold bauble. Today is no exception!

This is an especially exciting work-week because we’re hosting a big media brunch to launch the brand on the Gramercy Park Hotel rooftop terrace which is one of my favorite spots in the whole city. I’m in charge of the event so send me some good vibes on Wednesday that it goes off without a hitch! To greet the journalists, I want to wear something springy and professional and this look might just be perfect for it.
