Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! I have a lot to feel sparkly about right now so this skirt seemed appropriate for today’s post. Why, you ask, am I so sparkly in my insides? Well there are a few reasons:

1. I’m starting a brand new job today!!! I’ll still be running Lemon Stripes and the Lemon Stripes Store full time but will also be the head of the marketing department for a brand new healthy snack brand that is launching in early 2014. I’m so excited, I can’t even tell you! Working for myself has been an incredible blessing but I’m ready for the next challenge and this one feels so right. As I wrote about a few months ago, being an entrepreneur is scary and this job provides me with more stability so that I can feel comfortable with my business and in life. Is it weird that I’m looking forward to going into an office on a regular basis?

2. I had a fantastic weekend. We spent Saturday night at my friend Arielle‘s wedding which was one of the best weddings that we’ve been to all year (and we’ve been to a lot). She had a juice bar and kale chips at her cocktail hour right next to the sushi bar and taco station, I mean come on! I was also lucky enough to get a few luxurious treatments at the Guerlain Spa at The Waldorf Astoria on Sunday morning. Nothing beats a wedding hangover like a decadent facial massage.

3. We’re heading to San Francisco tomorrow for a full week vacation to celebrate the holiday and my uncle’s wedding. We’ll be taking a trip to wine country, exploring the city, eating great food, and spending time with family. Any recommendations are more than welcome!

4. I hit 10K Instagram followers last night. Life goal: complete!

So all in all, I have a lot to be thankful for and I felt like celebrating by wearing some sparkle and shimmer!
