Last week consisted of day after day of grey and drizzy weather here in New England, so when the clouds finally broke into glorious sunshine on Sunday afternoon, Anel and I couldn’t get out of the house fast enough. We drove to New Canaan to do some window shopping and meet our friends for a movie that we had planned before the sun came out. The husbands wanted to see the new Captain America movie and we actually ended up loving it! I mean… Chris Evans and those muscles, am I right?

Plus I finally got the chance to wear this navy and white striped maxi which, by the way, is less than $30. There are only a few sizes left so I guess other people found my secret dress before I had the chance to post it. Sorry guys! Before the weather turned I was feeling kind of down in the dumps and couldn’t figure out why. But when the sun came out I realized how much I needed it. Did anyone else experience that this weekend? It’s insane how much the weather can affect my mood. When we got home from the movies on Sunday, I made my famous vegan basil pesto and we ate it over grilled chicken with glasses of rosé. Talk about ending the weekend on a high note. I’m feeling quite good about this week now!
