Vacation Vibes

Vacation Vibes

Guys, I did it! I finally planned a family vacation to Florida for next month. Anel and I were so busy with his new gym that we totally forgot to plan our yearly warm-weather vacation. I used a bunch of points we had on our credit card to book a hotel in Sarasota near my aunt’s house, and we’re excited to go visit her and the beach in a matter of weeks. I’m also heading to Palm Beach next week for a super quick press trip and am beyond grateful that I get to soak up the sun twice in a month.

I’ve been getting lots of requests for a vacation packing list, so here it is! The colors and patterns in this collage are making me so happy already.

Let’s start with this rainbow-striped beach bag. I love me a straw tote, don’t get me wrong, but realistically on the beach with all of the stuff we have to bring for Amalia, I need something lightweight, big, and easy to carry. I bought this bag for a girlfriend last year for her birthday and whenever I see her carrying it, I want it, so I finally pulled the trigger for this trip and bought it. It’s $55, great quality, and so fun to look at.

When I bought it (yesterday) I didn’t realize that Shopbop’s yearly sale was starting today. Ugh! But here are the details if you want to buy it or some of the other items on my list from Shopbop.

Use code GOBIG19 at Shopbop for…

15% off orders of $200+
20% off orders of $500+
25% off orders of $800+
…including sale items!

I was also in major need of a pair of white denim shorts. I am constantly on the hunt for good ones, but they’re usually too tight or have too many rips. This high-waisted pair (also part of the sale) is the perfect cut; not too tight and not too loose. For a more affordable option, these are $68 and also look great (although I haven’t seen them in person).

I’ll be wearing those shorts with tees for lunches (I just bought this one) and to the beach with my new leopard bikini. I love when J.Crew bathing suits that come in cup sizes because they fit so well. This one and this striped green top and bottom are both on sale today too!

Another beach favorite is my Brixton straw hat. I’ve had mine for probably five years now and I still love it. It’s a classic shape and holds up summer after summer. For $44, it’s a great deal. In other headgear news, I finally splurged on a Lele Sadoughi pearl headband, but I think I literally bought the last one on Shopbop and they’re sold out nearly everywhere. I found the same one on the Lele Sadoughi site here if you want it. For a fraction of the price, this floral headband is also giving me major beach vacay vibes.

I’ve seen so many bloggers wearing this dress, and I see why! The flouncy cut and the bright color-blocking makes for the perfect tropical frock. That said, I went with this hot pink romper instead because of the price. I’m also in love with this blue and white striped jumpsuit.

The last thing I want to note is that these sandals are an awesome $79 dupe for the Hermes sandals. I have them in camel but love the white ones too.

Should I make another post for Amalia’s vacation wish list? What’s on your vacation wish list/packing list?
