Tie Front Shirtย (on sale!) / Clutch c/o / White Jeans / Shoes c/o /Watch
Looking back on this weekend, I can’t help but realize how big of aย difference quitting my full time job has made. I’ve talked about this before but I used to work all the time. Like all the time. I’d wake up early to blog, go into the office all day, blog at night, and take photos all weekend. You get the idea… A social life was pretty much the last thing on my priority list. I’dย regularlyย go six months without seeing most of my friends.
Now? I still hustle but it’s different. I actually have time for double dates and dinners with my girlfriends. When we had friends over last night for dinner, I wasn’t stressed out when they stayed for three hours. In fact I was psyched to hang with them! A few months ago, that would have been my worst nightmare, Sunday nights without working. Now that life is so different, I really can’t imagine how I lived the way I did for so long.
Why did this weekend in particular make me realize the difference? Well it was quite the doozy! It started with a puppy and wine playdate on Thursday night, a girl’s night in the city on Friday (Guys I went to a club. Me!), brunch on Sunday with friends, andย the aforementionedย dinner party on Sunday. That’s more plans than I would have in a month in my old life. No exaggeration! Although I can’t handle that every weekend, it felt really good to let loose a little and just enjoy myself without thinking too much about work.
For brunch on Sunday in Greenwich, I wore this amazing tie-front top that I found at Talbots of all places (and is currently on sale) with white jeans and my new favorite clutch for summer which I have a feeling will make multiple appearances here. I’ve been seeing some of my favorite bloggers in similar shirts but when I found this one for a fraction of the price, I was pretty stoked. I’ll pair it with cut offs and flip flops all summer long!

I love this top and I can’t believe it’s from Talbots! I’ve been finding some good pieces there lately, so I think I may need to pick up this one too.
Have a great Monday!

I absolutely love that top, it’s so cute! Also, so amazing you’ve been able to turn your passion into your full-time job. It’s so many people’s goals and it’s so inspiring when I see one of my favorite bloggers able to make the switch. Enjoy the extra time and having a life while still working hard!
