Last night we kicked off the long weekend with our first time at the famous Westport town fireworks. It was possibly the best night of Amalia’s life, running around with her friends, glowsticks, and popsicles. Watching her so happy and in her element made it one of the best nights of my life too!
But it was bittersweet and felt weird to be celebrating our country’s independence and freedom when so many people are not free in so many ways right now. This weekend is going to be hard for a lot of people but I’m trying to focus on making it fun for my kids and coming back to fight the good fight when it’s over.
