Once in a while the stars align and my favorite brands want to work with me for a post. I get a little giddy when that happens, and today is one of those days! If you haven’t heard of Brandless yet, I’m about to change your life. Trust. This post is basically a love letter to them and I’m not mad at it.
I had vaguely heard of Brandless a while back, but was officially introduced to the brand at a pop-up they created in NYC last fall. The marketing gal (Hi Larissa!) showed me around, let me test some products, and told me about how they make literally hundreds of everyday essentials including non-GMO food, clean beauty, non-toxic cleaners, home goods, and as of now, baby and pet. And all of it is $3. No joke! You can buy a bread knife, hand lotion, and olive oil for $3 each.
Note: In the baby, pet, and household collections there are a few products that sell for $9.
I thought for sure that this was too good to be true, so I came home that night and promptly ordered half of the website. Sure enough, I loved almost all of it including snacks, beauty products (namely the coconut water body butter), and kitchen essentials.
I’ve reordered a lot of my favorites and try at least two or three new things with each order. I’ve since learned that the reason it’s not too good to be true is because they build direct relationships with their suppliers, which eliminates all the extra costs associated with the unnecessary markups we see at regular grocery stores.
Any brand that is making clean products more accessible and affordable for everyone is a winner in my book. Brandless is exactly what we need in this day and age and I’m so honored that they want to work with me to spread their message and share some exciting news today!
If you didn’t love them after that, you will now: They partner with Feeding America to donate a meal with every purchase. Since they launched, they’ve donated over 3 million meals and counting. Can I quit blogging to go work for them please? Anel, let’s relocate to San Francisco!
Ok I digress, but what I’m actually here to talk about today the launch of their pet and baby lines. They’re all made with super clean ingredients and all priced at $3 (except for a few products priced at $9) that will have you thinking it’s too good to be true. It’s not. I promise.
They sent me all of the products in each line, and I’m going to outline our favorites.
Brandless Baby Collection Favorites for Amalia
Fruit and Veggie Pouches: I know that giving pouches for babies Amalia’s age is controversial but there are some weeks when she simply doesn’t get enough veggies, and we use pouches that include veggies for her dessert in those times. They also make great on-the-go snacks when we’re out and about on weekends. Most of the pouches we usually buy are $1.50-$2 each (or more) and these are $3 for a four pack which is actually insane.
They’re all organic and non-gmo too. Her favorites out of the ones we tried were Apple Green Bean and Broccoli and Pear, Blueberry, Purple Carrot, and Milled Chia. I just placed an order for them in bulk!
Vegetable Teething Wafers: Man I wish these teething wafers had come out when Amalia was still a little baby because we would have crushed them! She actually likes them as a snack now even though she can eat harder snacks and crackers. As you can tell by the photos below, she refused to even put them down for a photo.
Baby Balm: This winter, she’s been getting really dry skin on her face and the back of her arms. We’ve been using a petroleum-based balm to keep them moisturized because it was the only one that worked. Until now! We are loving the Brandless Baby Balm and out of this entire post it’s probably my favorite new product. It’s paraben-free, hypoallergenic, and cruelty-free too.
Diapers: I have to be honest here, we don’t mess with natural diapers because they don’t mask the smell the same way that regular diapers do. That said, I tested these out (during the day only) and they fit really well and didn’t leak at all. They’re $9 a pack (packs range from 23-50 diapers depending on the size) which is lower than any other diaper I’ve ever seen on the market, clean or not. If you’re into natural diapers, give these a try! Plus they’re pretty darn cute!
Brandless Pet Collection Favorites for Boots
Treats: I love to give my pup positive reinforcement and I often do that with treats. But Boots has a super sensitive stomach which means we have to be really careful about what we give him or he’ll get sick. It’s super fun… The Brandless chicken breast and chicken liver treats are made with one ingredient each. ONE! Do you know how hard that is to find with pre-packaged dog treats? And do you know how hard it is to find dog treats that only cost $3/bag? Answer: Very.
Obviously because of that, they’re corn-free, soy-free, wheat-free, and free from animal meal. Plus Boots clearly loves them. One of Amalia’s favorite “games” is to give Boots his treats. It’s the cutest. Now it’s even better because I know she’s giving him something that’s clean and making him strong.
Wipes: I take Bootsie for a hike in the woods at least three times a week. On off days, we jog around the blog. He is a 90 pound dog and can get quite sweaty/muddy between his monthly grooming sessions. I’m always looking for wipes that aren’t too fragrant (humans like that but doggies don’t), are free from as many chemicals as possible (he’s super sensitive), and that actually work. The Brandless pet wipes ($3) check all three boxes and are cruelty-free and latex-free!
Thank you to Brandless for sponsoring this post. All opinions, as always, are 100% my own.
I’ve been wondering about brandless products, I’d love to know what other products are some of your favs.
So far, my favorites are: Olive oil spray for cooking, the coconut water body butter, their gummy candy (addictive), cucumber mint glass cleaner, sweet potato tortilla chips, coconut sugar, and the coconut oil!
Awww, Amalia is a mini Julia! So cute!
Awww thanks Megan!
I recently bought some Brandless items and I’m in love! Great products for an unbeatable price!
There is really nothing like it. I can’t believe I didn’t discover them sooner.
I tried their disposable coffee cups and I love them! Plus, they’re biodegradable!
