What I Learned in Two Weeks Offline

Well hello, friends! I've been offline for two weeks, but it feels more like two years (in a good way). Taking some real time off was incredibly necessary for my mental and physical health, and I learned a lot about my relationship with social media along the way. Amalia was off of school and our sitter moved on to another family, so I had both kids with me the whole time and spent a lot of extra time with the two of them.

My Morning Routine with Two Kids

Back in the day, my morning routine used to consist of journaling, meditating, and hot lemon water. That feels like 100 years ago. Now it’s basically a mad rush to get both kids and myself awake, dressed, and fed.

Anel leaves for work before any of us even wake up so I’m on solo parenting duty every weekday.

Lemon Stripes x Lo Home Ginger Jars

I will be pinching myself all day long because my collection of ginger jars with Lauren Haskell Designs launches today!!! This project has been a dream come true and it still doesn't even feel real.

It all started at the beginning of this year when I was thinking about what parts of my job make me the happiest.

Our Family-Friendly Playroom Design

Our playroom area (off of the living room) has been a pain point for us since we moved into our house. It’s right off of our kitchen, dining room, and living room and very central on our first floor… which makes it a perfect space for the kids to play while I’m cooking meals or chatting with another mom during playdates.
