Family Room Finale

It only took two years of living here but our family room is now complete and it’s just so pretty and cozy and perfect. It was the first room that we focused on when we moved in and at that time we worked with Modsy to get it 80% of the way across the finish line, but we were waiting for the perfect ottoman, wallpaper, and art above the fireplace. Serena & Lily recently reached out to help us finish it, and with their final touches, it’s perfection.

We spend a lot of time in this room feeding Luca, watching movies with Amalia, chatting after the kids are in bed, and doing lots of lounging. Boots sleeps here at night too and obviously thinks it’s his room (which it basically is, let’s be honest). Sitting on this sectional surrounded by my family and pup feels like sitting in a warm hug.

The Serena & Lily textured wallpaper really made the room. It is even more beautiful in person and looks hand-painted. It’s neutral and feminine without being too girly. Because the media system is so big and so white, that wall looked naked until we had the wallpaper installed.

Styling the shelves was really fun. I tried to add vintage elements (two pieces are from my great grandmother) along with some greenery, family photos, and newer decor and books. We finally hung the TV on the wall too, which always looks cleaner to me.
