5 Random Things: April

Despite the circumstances, we had a really lovely Easter Sunday at home yesterday. Amalia was beyond excited about the Easter Bunny and every time she found an egg on her egg hunt, she'd jump up and down and scream with delight. It was so pure and joyful. The sugar crash, however, was anything but. We turned it around for a great evening outside on scooters and bikes and flying her new mini kite that the EB randomly found at Whole Foods.

How We’re Grocery Shopping Now

Grocery shopping these days is just about the most exciting part of my week. Exciting but also terrifying and strange and surreal. After talking to many of you on Instagram, I've learned that most of you are (carefully) shopping in person versus using delivery services so I wanted to share my tips on how to stay safe, how I navigate the store, and an example of our weekly grocery list.

Pay it Forward Challenge

This year I committed to posting a sustainability challenge monthly, but I have spent the last week thinking on this and decided to go in a different direction for the month of April given the circumstances. I encourage you to continue to participate in my previous challenges. Keep avoiding plastic bottles, keep trying to clean up your cleaning product, keep avoiding single-use plastic bags, and continue eating less meat.
