The Book Everyone Should Read

I had originally titled this post "The book that every woman should read" but scratch that... This is the book that every woman and man should read. Over the weekend, I finished Know My Name by Chanel Miller and have been deeply moved by it to my core. Depending on the source, between 1 in 3 and 1 in 6 women in the US have been sexually assaulted in some way shape or form.

Veggie-Packed Moroccan Stew

When it's cold and drizzly out, like it's been for most of this week, all I want to eat are soups and stews. Many of my soup recipes are meat-based,  but Anel and I are trying to eat plant-based dinners at least 3x/week so I've been on the hunt for a vegan soup that is both hearty and full of flavor.

20 Things I Would Tell My 20-Something Self

Earlier this week I had a couple of moles biopsied at my yearly skin screening. This happens every year or two and it freaks me out every single time. As the doctor scrapes off the mole, I internally kick myself for not wearing sunscreen in my teens and early twenties. The amount of sun damage I have now is a literal health concern.

Sustainability Challenge: Cleaner Cleaning Products

January ended after approximately 75,000 days but I managed to not use a single single-use plastic bag during that abnormally long month...and also managed to break Dry January only once! How did you do? I actually found it really easy since I was prepared ahead of time. I did forget my produce bags at the grocery store more than once and ended up just putting fruit and veggies directly into my shopping totes and having the person checking me out take them from the bag directly.
