We Bought a New House!

We bought a new house and we're moving into it three weeks from today!

It feels so good to finally let that cat out of the bag. Anel and I have been working on selling our house, getting a mortgage, buying this house, and renovating it all summer-long. The process has completely taken over our lives for the last three months so not being able to share it with you guys has been really hard.

Re-Wear It: Slip Skirt

I finally jumped onto the slip skirt trend and I'm happy I did. It's a perfect summer to fall transition piece that can be worn in so many different ways. I bought mine at J.Crew (shocker), but there are a ton of Bias cut slip skirts to choose from. I linked 11 good ones below! If you're wondering what Bias cut means (I had to look it up), it's when the fabric on a skirt or dress is cut at a diagonal angle which helps accentuate body curves, and allows for the fabric to drape in a specific way.

Martha’s Vineyard Travel Guide

I have been promising a Martha's Vineyard travel guide for years and it's finally here. My family and I are creatures of habit, so we often end up going to the same places year after year, but we like to try at least one new restaurant every summer so the list of favorites keeps growing. I've divided the guide into breakfast, lunch, dinner, ice cream (duh), activities, and shopping.

5 Random Things: August

We're back from a wonderfully beachy week in Martha's Vineyard and feeling ready to get back into the swing of things after over-indulging on vacation. Anel and I have grand plans to eat clean, stay away from alcohol, and get lots of rest this week to get our bodies back on track. Eating dessert every night and cocktails with dinner for that many days in a row always seems fun at the time, but it can ruin the entire next week if we're not careful.
