I can't believe it's almost April, and I couldn't be more excited for springtime! I love how giddy it makes everyone in the city, sunshine after 5pm, brunches outside, running along the East River, skirts without tights, tulips, sandals, asparagus and berries, not wearing hats and gloves, and the prospect of summer coming around the bend.

6 Ingredient Gluten Free Blondies

A few weeks ago, I became obsessed with the Paleo blondies at Hu Kitchen. They seriously taste as buttery and delicious as the real thing but they're gluten free and made with coconut palm sugar. I wanted to make something similar so decided to check out Elana's Pantry in search of a recipe.

She makes incredible gluten free wonders.

East Coast vs. West Coast: Striped Shirt



I grew up in New England and have now lived in Manhattan for over 5 years so I am a tried and true east coaster. On the other hand, I went to college in Los Angeles and lived there the following year, and I at least partially understand west coast styles. A reader emailed me last week, letting me know that she was moving to California and wanted to update her wardrobe for the other side of the country.

Tokyo in Photos

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you definitely know that I've spent the last 5 days in Tokyo, exploring the city's colors and cuisine. It was such a whirlwind adventure. I felt out of place the entire time because almost no one spoke English and the city is gigantic! We did everything from visiting the Tsukiji fish market (and ate the freshest sushi there of all time) to strolling around under the Sakuras (cherry blossoms), to shopping in the super hip Harajuku neighborhood, to eating all sorts of new foods (sea urchin was a first!).
