Jewelry Junkie

{Colorful bracelets}

I love jewelry. Big enamel bangles, flashy earrings, and delicate gold necklaces are among my favorites. The problem is that I have so much, it's hard to store! Last year, my fiance bought me a gorgeous jewelry box and matching jewelry tree to keep most of it organized. I went through it all this weekend while holed up inside from the snowstorm.

My Weekend in Photographs

{An Unexpected Winter Wonderland}

We had our first snowfall of the season this weekend! The city was unusually quiet for a few hours on Saturday morning while snow, sleet, hail, and gusts of winds graced us with their presence. It was a great excuse to watch movies, cook, bake yummy treats, and cuddle up under blankets.

Lusting For…

{Necklace: West Avenue}

I am getting married in 10 short months, at which point, I will have to buy all new monogrammed items. Yes, right now everything from my pillow cases to my luggage to my garbage can is tagged with my three favorite letters: "JLA". That is about to change for good so I better start shopping now, right?

Shoe Displays

Generally, New Yorkers are blessed with one closet in a one-bedroom apartment...and sometimes no closets. I know that seems strange to all you suburbanites, but it is part of the price that we all pay to live in this incredible city. That being said, I'm always struggling with my shoes. I don't want to stuff them all into a corner of my tiny closet, but I'm left with little choice.

Creamy Chocolate Chip Scones

There are no words to describe the melt-in-your mouth deliciousness of these scones. They're also fairly easy to make if you follow the directions exactly. If you're trying to impress someone with a homemade breakfast, you need not look any further, you've found the key! I discovered this Smitten Kitchen recipe for currant scones but forgot to buy currants so improvised with chocolate chips (that I always keep readily available!).
